We tried out our snowshoes this morning.  We got the bindings on without any trouble and within the first few minutes I was in love!  We’ve got to get some of these!!  We learned a few things very quickly: groomed trails, like the golf cart trail out the back door, is easiest; packed trails that have been walked before are a little more challenging, but still fun; and fresh powder is the hardest to walk in.  Another thing I learned quickly… you don’t back up in snow shoes!  I tried to take a picture of Andrew, was too close, so I tried to back up and fell flat on my butt.  We tried to break trail through fresh powder and we were sinking over our knees with every step.  We backtracked and took the path instead.  We came inside, rested and started working on the website again.  It seems we keep running into problems…
