Another morning snowshoe hike in the White River National Forest, but this time we took the Stag Gulch trail #1866. This trail went up and up and up. We got some beautiful views through the aspens and a distant view of the Holy Cross Wilderness area. The hike was only about 1 1/2 miles, but it was straight up and the snow on the trail was crusty and harder to hike on in spots. It really took a lot out of us. We came back and chilled out a bit. We saw a couple of mule deer walk along the golf trail right outside the living room window. Wow, this place is a wildlife sanctuary! ![]()
Since I’ve been cooking every meal since we’ve been here, we’re going out for dinner tonight. We’re planning to start the night at the Gore Range Brewery in Edwards for a beer
and then we’re going to the Main Street Grill for dinner.
